FATHER MURPHY

Father Murphy is an Italian trio comprised of Reverend freddie Murphy (vocals, guitar), Chiara Lee (vocals, keyboards, chinese percussions) and Vittorio Demarin (drums, viola, vocals).
Father Murphy is the sound of the Catholic sense of Guilt, a downward spiral aiming at the bottom of the hollow, and then digging even deeper.
They released three albums and three EPs raising the bar of quality at every record, becoming one of the most mysterious and enigmatic musical entities coming out of Italy, part of that community that Simon Reynolds and Julian Cope started to call the new “Italian Occult Psychedelia”.
Father Murphy has incessantly toured through all Europe and North America to promote their music and shared stages with a number of great bands who showed their appreciation for the italian trio, helping to raise the international respect they got in this ten years.
Father Murphy’s saga continues one step ahead of the other in their path towards the darkness, the apocalyptic, at every new batch of music but keeps on claiming that “never forget you have a choice”.
